How to delete previous iphone backups from icloud?

0

You can free up iCloud storage space by deleting the entire iCloud backup for an iOS or iPadOS device, such as a device you no longer own. If you’re restoring a device from an iCloud backup, you must wait until the restore process is finished before you can delete the backup.

WARNING: If you delete the iCloud backup for your iOS or iPadOS device, iCloud stops automatically backing up the device.

Instead of backing up your iOS or iPadOS device to iCloud, you can back up your device using your computer. See the Apple Support article About backups for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

Remove a backup using your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

On your iOS or iPadOS device, go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Storage > Backups.

Tap the name of a device whose backup you don’t need and then tap Delete Backup.

Remove a backup using your Mac

On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences and then do one of the following:

macOS Catalina 10.15 or later: Click Apple ID, click iCloud and then click Manage.

macOS 10.14 or earlier: Click iCloud and then click Manage.

Click Backups on the left, select an iOS or iPadOS device on the right whose backup you don’t need and then click Delete.

If you don’t see Backups on the left, your iOS or iPadOS devices don’t have iCloud backups. See Back up your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to iCloud.

Remove a backup using your Windows computer

Click Backups on the left, select an iOS or iPadOS device on the right whose backup you don’t need and then click Delete.

If you don’t see Backups on the left, your iOS or iPadOS devices don’t have iCloud backups. See Back up your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to iCloud.
